Announcing the 2009 McCullough Scottish Games and Picnic
 
 
 
FOUND!!  After the Games we found a pair of ladies-size boots and a tan Totes umbrella were left behind!
 
 
Bring your family for a potluck picnic dinner and watch our men compete in events during the afternoon of Saturday, October 17th at noon.
RAIN or SHINE
 
Forecast is for high in 50s, clouds and breeze, slight chance of showers.
Dress in layers, hat and gloves
 
****Please note that Hess Road is closed between Jarrettsville PIke and Park Road,  Take detour to 152 to reach Park via the open portion of Hess Road or come to Moores via Green Road****

Men's events will include:    **Braveheart Stone Throw(42#)**,  
**St. Andrew's Wall**, **Weight for Distance(35#)**,  **Weight over Bar(35#)**, **Stone for Height(42#)**,   **Open Stone Toss(16#)**,   **Sheaf Toss**,   **Hammer Throw**, and the **Lone Caber**.

3.  Throughout the afternoon we are planning to provide our guests with    unique opportunities to experience talented artists.  Program in progress.
4.  Final score tally announcement at 3:15  This year's winner will receive a  prize of a sgian dubh from SportKilt.
5.  Convene for dinner at 3:30 PM
 
 
Information for our Guests
 
     If you plan on joining us on October 17, 2009 please take a minute of your time to  complete our guest registration form; this will be most helpful for us to plan appropriately for food and parking.
 
Information for Competitors
 
     The 2009 Games will see for the men the addition of four new events.
 
 

Piper News!!

 

    We are very pleased that Franklin McQuay, who piped at the inaugural 2007 Games and again in 2008, is planning to regale us again in 2009.  We look forward to his return engagement.
